Surrogacy is a procedure in which intended parents are bound to commission medical expenses for a surrogate mother in exchange for the commission to carry their biological child for 9 months. It involves a complex set of legal proceedings which has to be met. After the birth of the infant, the surrogate mother gives full custody and guardianship to the intended parents. In the course of months, the intended parents get custody and guardianship of the child. Surrogacy types usually vary in preference between intended parents and a surrogate. Wherein, in Gestational Surrogacy, the genetic link is not directed from the surrogate mother but is of the intended parents. However, traditional surrogacy is in the least section of the list. It is outdated, complex in terms of legal support. Although, the genetic link of a baby is the surrogate mother and not the intended parent (biological mother).
